Two young men were remanded in custody at Burnley Crown Court on 19 December after being convicted of actual bodily harm on Andrew Wearden (Parliamentary candidate for the fascist British National Party in the Rossendale and Darwen constituency during the 1997 General Election) and one of his pals:

Ahmed and Brollini will appear at Burnley Crown Court for
sentencing on January 15. According to the 'Lancashire Evening
Telegraph' (19/12/98 p.9) Wearden and his friend Matthew Perry
ended up floored, knocked out and in hospital.'
